Manfred Kreuz

Manfred Kreuz, a German footballer, died on April 22, 2026, at the age of 90.

Born on 7 March 1936, he spent his entire career with Schalke 04. From 1956 to 1963, he played 135 matches and scored 42 goals in the Oberliga West.

Between 1963 and 1968, he served as Schalke’s captain and made 83 Bundesliga appearances, scoring 17 goals. In 1958, he won the German championship. Kreuz later became an honorary captain of Schalke and a member of the club’s honorary presidium.
