Born in Kiralur on January 18, 1935, he studied at the College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, and later at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. He worked at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and was also known for his roles as a writer, science communicator and translator. His published work included Vairudhyatmaka Bhowthika Vadam and Prapancharekha, and in 2022 he received the Kerala Sree Award, the state’s third-highest civilian honour.
