
Jeff Galloway, an American Olympic runner and author, died on February 25, 2026.
He was 80. Born John Franks Galloway in Raleigh, North Carolina, on July 12, 1945, he competed for the 1972 U.S.
Olympic Team in the 10,000 meters. A lifetime runner, he was an All-American collegiate athlete and continued with a successful masters running career. Galloway also served as chief executive officer of Galloway Productions, which ran training programs and events, and he owned two running specialty stores. He wrote Galloway’s Book on Running.
