K. Dua, an Indian journalist and diplomat who was editor of the Hindustan Times, died on March 4, 2026, aged 88.
Born Hari Krishan Dua on July 1, 1937, in Sargodha, Punjab Province, British India, he served as editor of the Hindustan Times from 1987 to 1994, editor-in-chief of The Indian Express from 1994 to 1996, and editor of The Tribune from 2003 to 2009. He was India‘s ambassador to Denmark from 2001 to 2003, was nominated to the Rajya Sabha in 2009, and was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1998.
