Filip Stojanović, a Serbian politician who served several terms in the parliaments of Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro, and Serbia, died on January 15, 2026.
He was a member of the far-right Serbian Radical Party. Born on August 10, 1944, in Šilovo, near Gnjilane in Kosovo, he later moved with his family to Gnjilane in 1953.
Stojanović met Radical Party leader Vojislav Šešelj at a 1992 rally and went on to become president of the party’s district committee in Kosovo-Pomoravlje. He was elected to the Chamber of Citizens in the late 1992 Yugoslav parliamentary election after appearing on the party’s electoral list for the Priština division.
