Fili Seru, a Fijian rugby union and rugby league player, died on May 6, 2026, of complications from motor neuron disease.

Born on March 11, 1970, he represented Fiji in the 1991 Rugby Union World Cup and the 1995 Rugby League World Cup. Seru played rugby union for Fiji in 10 test matches between 1990 and 1993, including the 1991 tournament, before switching to rugby league.

He later played for the South Queensland Crushers in 1995 and appeared in four test matches for Fiji, including three at the 1995 Rugby League World Cup.

Fili Seru (11 March 1970 – 6 May 2026) was a Fijian rugby footballer who represented Fiji in the 1991 Rugby Union World Cup and the 1995 Rugby League World Cup.
