Donald Eugene McCune, an American ten-pin bowler, died on February 28, 2026, at age 89.
Born on October 9, 1936, in Morrison, Illinois, he grew up in Munster, Indiana, served in the U.S. Army and began bowling seriously in all-Army leagues.
A right-handed bowler, McCune became a Professional Bowlers Association member in 1963 and won eight PBA Tour titles, including six in the 1973 season. He earned his first PBA title at the 1968 Fort Worth Open and his second at the 1970 Houston-Sertoma Open. He was a member of the PBA and USBC Halls of Fame.
