Born David John Greenslade in Woking, Surrey, on January 18, 1943, he grew up in a musical family and later became one of the recognizable keyboard players in British rock and progressive rock. He joined Colosseum at its formation in 1968 and remained associated with the group for decades, including its farewell concert in 2015.
From 1973, he also performed in Greenslade, while his career included work with acts such as If and Chris Farlowe’s Thunderbirds.
