Daniel Bohr, the Argentinian-born Danish theatre manager and stage director, died on July 25, 2026, at the age of 82.
Born in Buenos Aires on December 29, 1943, he built a career that spanned more than five decades and included more than 150 productions in plays, operas and musicals across Scandinavia, Europe and South America. The son of José Bohr, he began his work in Chile before training as a film director in Spain and later founding El Nuevo Teatro Experimental in Madrid.
After settling in Denmark in 1972, he became a prominent figure in Scandinavian theatre and also served as director of Den Jyske Opera.
