Colin Powers, a British boxer, died on September 18, 2026, aged 70.

Born in London in 1956, he turned professional in June 1975 with a win over Kevin Quinn and went on to build a notable record in the light welterweight division. After suffering his first professional defeat against Des Morrison in 1976, Powers rebounded to beat Joey Singleton, Clinton McKenzie and Efisio Pinna.

He then stopped Morrison in the tenth round at York Hall in October 1977 to win the vacant British light welterweight title, a championship he held between 1977 and 1979. Powers also became European champion in 1978.
