Born Carl-Gunnar Sundin in Nyköping on September 8, 1930, he competed in the mid-1950s and represented Sweden in sprint canoeing at the highest level. His best-known result came in Mâcon, where he earned silver in the K-4 10000 m event.
Sundin also placed fourth in the K-2 10000 m at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne.
