
Barbara Gordon, an American documentary filmmaker and producer, died on April 7, 2026, at age 90.
Born Barbara Sue Loeb in Miami Beach, Florida, on December 19, 1935, she graduated from Barnard College in 1956 and went on to work in television for nearly 20 years as a writer and producer. She worked at NBC, The Today Show, National Educational Television and on the Emmy Award-winning PBS series The Great American Dream Machine, where she filmed segments on Studs Terkel, Dalton Trumbo and Jane Fonda.
