Bagre Fagundes, the Brazilian gaucho musician known as Euclides Fagundes Filho, died on August 2, 2026, aged 86.
Born in Uruguaiana on October 3, 1939, he was described as a Brazilian folklorist, politician, instrumentalist, composer and singer of nativist music. He grew up in Alegrete in a large family of musicians and composers, and in 2001 helped form the group Os Fagundes with relatives.
Fagundes was also recognized with Brazil’s Order of Cultural Merit.
