Born in Chorzów on July 19, 1951, she was also known as Anna Maria Knysok. She served as a deputy in the Sejm during the 1989–1993 period, representing the Citizens’ Committee in the X term and the Christian Democratic Party in the I term.
A graduate of the University of Silesia in Katowice, she was later appointed undersecretary of state in the Ministry of Health, serving from 1997 to 2001. Knysok was also recognized with the Cross of Freedom and Solidarity.
