Born in Dylągowa on October 13, 1950, she was also known by the religious name Anastazja Pustelnik FDC and her birth name, Krystyna Pustelnik. According to the biographical record, she entered the congregation in 1973 after earlier work in a glass factory in Vsetín, Czechoslovakia, and later cooked for disabled children and for the Kraków Jesuits.
