André Doms, a Belgian essayist, poet and writer, died on June 12, 2026, at the age of 94.

Born in Brussels on March 9, 1932, he built a long career in French-language letters and served as editor-in-chief of the magazine Journal des Poètes from 1976 to 1991. In 1979, he received the Léopold Rosy Prize from the Académie royale de langue et de littérature françaises de Belgique for his essay Lecture de Jean Glineur.

He also wrote works including Anachroniques, Ecrits du voyage and Sérénade.
