Affiliated with the National Regeneration Movement, he represented Veracruz’s 16th district in the federal Chamber of Deputies at the time of his death. Born in Nogales, Veracruz, on June 4, 1984, Escobar began working as a teacher in the Telesecundaria remote-learning system in 2009.
He later earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Universidad de Sotoviento in 2018 and a master’s degree in education science from the Centro de Estudios Avanzados de las Américas in 2021. Before entering politics, he worked as a stripper. He served in the Congress of Veracruz from 2016 to 2018 and later was secretary of education in the Veracruz state government from 2018 to 2021 under Cuitláhuac García Jiménez.
