
Vladimir Cvetković, a Serbian basketball player and sports administrator, died on May 6, 2026, at age 84.
He was the honorary president of Crvena zvezda and spent his entire playing career with KK Crvena zvezda, where he played for 13 seasons. With the club, he won two National Championships and one National Cup.
Cvetković also played for the Yugoslav national team, and in 1968 he scored the decisive free throws in the semifinal victory over the Soviet Union at the Mexico City Olympics, helping Yugoslavia reach its first Olympic medal.
