Veikko Virtanen, a Finnish organ builder, died on February 17, 2026, at the age of 97.
Born Veikko Armas Virtanen in Helsinki on June 14, 1928, he built organs through his company, Urkurakentamo Veikko Virtanen OY, which was based in Espoo. The company’s work included organs for the Turku Cathedral, the Ristinkirkko in Lahti, and the Temppeliaukio Church.
