Valery Denisov, a Russian diplomat, died on May 7, 2026, at the age of 84.
He served as Russian ambassador to North Korea from 1996 to 2001. Born in Moscow on November 1, 1941, Denisov graduated from the Korean Department of the Faculty of International Relations of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1970 and from the Diplomatic Academy of the Soviet Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1983.
