Ross Perot. Born in Dallas, Texas, on January 1, 1940, he was raised by a single mother and attended public schools in the Highland Park Independent School District. Luce received an athletic scholarship to Virginia Military Institute before transferring to Southern Methodist University, where he earned a B.B.A. in 1962 and a J.D. from the Dedman School of Law in 1966. At the time of his death, he was chief executive of Biotech Initiatives at Lyda Hill Philanthropies.
