Sumarjati Arjoso, an Indonesian politician and member of the House of Representatives, died on July 24, 2026, aged 80.
She served in the House of Representatives from 2009 to 2014 for Gerindra, representing Central Java, and handled health issues in the legislature. Arjoso was an alumna of Gadjah Mada University’s medical faculty and the Faculty of Public Health at the University of Indonesia.
Before entering parliament, she worked as a civil servant at the Ministry of Health, and she had also overseen the health advice column in Kartini magazine since 1986.
