Soheir Zaki, the Egyptian belly dancer and actress known for her work in “Cairo 30,” died on May 2, 2026.
She was 81. Born Suheir Zaki Abdullah in Mansoura, Egypt, on January 4, 1945, she began her career as a wedding dancer in Alexandria before moving into television and then Egyptian film.
Zaki appeared in more than 100 Egyptian films from the 1960s to the 1980s and was active from 1960 to 1992. She died in Cairo.
