Rahul Banerjee (actor) Indian actor, drowned dead at age 42

Rahul Banerjee, an Indian actor and writer, died on March 29, 2026, after drowning.

He worked primarily in Bengali films and television series and was known for roles in Chirodini Tumi Je Amar, Pati Parameshwar and Zulfiqar. Born Arunoday Banerjee in Calcutta on October 16, 1983, he made his first stage appearance at age three in Raj Darshan, a production by his father Biswanath Banerjee’s theatre group, Bijoygarh Atmaprakash.

He later performed in nearly 450 stage productions and also appeared in television series including Tumi Asbe Bole and Khela.

Rahul Arunoday Banerjee (Bengali: রাহুল অরুণোদয় বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়, pronounced [ɾaɦul ˈoɾunod̪ɔe̯ ˈbɔnd̪opad̪ʱːae̯]; 16 October 1983 – 29 March 2026), better known as Rahul Banerjee, was an Indian actor and writer. He primarily worked in Bengali films and television series. He made his first stage appearance at the age of three in Raj Darshan, a production staged by his father Biswanath Banerjee’s theatre group, Bijoygarh Atmaprakash. He later went on to perform in nearly 450 stage productions, working with both his father’s troupe and Theatron.
