Pentti Lindegren Finnish ice hockey player and commentator dead at age 86

Pentti Lindegren, a Finnish ice hockey player and commentator, died on February 7, 2026.

Born in Hauho on December 18, 1939, he played in Finland for HIFK, in the Finnish Championship series for Karhu-Kissat and in the I division for Reippaa. He played seven seasons for HIFK from 1961 to 1965 and again in 1967, appearing in 108 Finnish Championship games.

Lindegren also played six games for the Finnish national team, including one World Championship in 1965.

Pentti Lindegren (18 December 1939 – 5 February 2026) was a Finnish ice hockey player and commentator.
