Nurcan Çelik Turkish footballer and coach dead at age 46

Nurcan Çelik, a Turkish footballer and coach, died on February 14, 2026.

She played as a goalkeeper and represented Turkey at under-19 level before joining the senior national team. Çelik later founded and served as president of Akdeniz Nurçelik Spor.

After ending her playing career, she became manager of the newly reestablished women’s team of Galatasaray.

Nurcan Çelik (1 January 1980 – 14 February 2026) was a Turkish footballer who played as a goalkeeper. She played for the Turkey under-19 national team before she became a member of the Turkey senior national team. She was the founder and president of Akdeniz Nurçelik Spor. After retiring from active playing, she became manager of the newly reestablished women’s team of Galatasaray.
