Matt Davidson

Matt Davidson, a Canadian ice hockey player who appeared in 56 National Hockey League games with the Columbus Blue Jackets, died on April 28, 2026.

He was 48. Born in Flin Flon, Manitoba, on August 9, 1977, Davidson played right wing and was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the fourth round of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.

He played for the Columbus Blue Jackets between 2000 and 2003, and the remainder of his career, from 1997 to 2011, took him through the American Hockey League and several European leagues.
