Marc Held, the French architect, photographer and interior designer, died on July 27, 2026, aged 93.
Born Marcel Held in Paris on August 16, 1932, he built a career that moved between architecture, photography and design. In 1960, he founded the architecture and design firm Archiforme and also signed an exclusivity agreement that year with the manufacturer Créateurs & Industriels.
Among his later commissions, he designed the interiors of the presidential apartment at the request of François Mitterrand in 1983. Held later settled in Greece, where he died in Volos.
