Malcolm Harding, an English-born Canadian Anglican bishop, died on June 14, 2026, aged 89.
Known also as Malcolm Alfred Warden Harding, he served as the fifth bishop of Brandon in the Anglican Church of Canada from 1992 to 2001. Born in Sheffield, England, in 1936, he moved with his family to Canada in 1947.
Harding studied at the University of Western Ontario and was ordained a priest in 1962. His ministry included work in five rural parishes in the Diocese of Fredericton, service with the Children’s Aid Society in Ontario, and later leadership as rector of St. George’s in Brandon before becoming archdeacon of the area.
