Loveday Carlyon, Cornish nationalist politician and former leader of Mebyon Kernow, died on December 2, 2025.
Originally from Torpoint, she joined Mebyon Kernow and later married fellow party member Julyan Holmes before moving to Liskeard. She was elected to the town council and became a prominent spokesperson for the organisation, including on local food production as a member of the Cornish Association of Smallholders and Producers.
Elected leader of Mebyon Kernow in 1986, she went on to campaign successfully for the party.
