Born Gerson dos Santos Oliveira on December 22, 1959, in São Paulo, he worked from 1982 to 1998 and became notable in the 1990s through roles in TV Globo telenovelas and programs, including Rainha da Sucata, Perigosas Peruas and Corpo Dourado. His career was cut short in 1998 after he was the victim of a robbery and was shot in the head, leaving him with serious consequences for the rest of his life.
