Françoise Wilhelmi de Toledo, a Swiss physician and advocate for therapeutic fasting, died on May 1, 2026, at the age of 73.

Born in Geneva on February 5, 1953, she studied medicine in Geneva and graduated in 1982. She continued postgraduate training in Switzerland and later earned her doctoral degree in Basel.

Wilhelmi de Toledo was known for her work on therapeutic fasting, co-founded the Medical Association for Fasting and Nutrition, and served as managing director of the family-owned company Buchinger Wilhelmi.
