Devonta Lee, an American football player, died on February 26, 2026, at age 27.
Lee was an American college football player who played wide receiver for the LSU Tigers and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. He joined LSU in 2019 and appeared in 13 games as a freshman, catching two passes for 27 yards.
After three seasons, he transferred to Louisiana Tech in 2022. Lee was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in July 2022, later went into remission following several surgeries, and died in Hammond, Louisiana.
