Cliff Guffey, an American labor union leader, died on February 24, 2026.

Guffey, born September 29, 1949, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War before becoming a letter carrier in Oklahoma City in 1971. He later joined the American Postal Workers Union, where he was elected president of Oklahoma City Area Local in 1979, became assistant director of the union’s clerk division in 1986 and director in 1999.

He was elected executive vice president of the union in 2001 and president in 2010, and as leader he prioritized the concerns of veterans and working families.

Clifford Guffey (September 29, 1949 – February 21, 2026) was an American labor union leader.
