Castell V.
Bryant, an American academic administrator and former interim president of Florida A&M University, died on May 2, 2026. She was 88.
Bryant served as interim president of Florida A&M from January 2005 to May 2007 and was the first woman to hold the position at the university. The Board of Trustees said at the time of her appointment that she would not be eligible to apply for or hold the permanent presidency.
