
Brian Skinner, an English Anglican bishop who served as a missionary in Chile, died on February 19, 2026.
Brian Antony Skinner was born in 1939 and served as the suffragan bishop of Valparaíso in the Diocese of Chile from 1977 to 1986, in what became the Province of the Southern Cone of America. He was ordained a deacon in 1967 and a priest in 1968, following study at the University of Reading and Tyndale Hall, Bristol.
He was known within Anglicanism as an evangelical and charismatic clergyman.
