Bobbie Sparrow, a Canadian politician, died on February 19, 2026.

Born Barbara Jane O’Connor in Toronto on July 11, 1935, she was a Registered Nurse and businessperson who was first elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 1984 federal election as the Member of Parliament for Calgary South. That election brought the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada to power under Brian Mulroney.

After redistribution abolished her riding, she won the new Calgary Southwest seat in 1988. In 1991, she was named parliamentary secretary to the Minister of National Health and Welfare.

Barbara Jane Sparrow PC (née O’Connor; July 11, 1935 – February 19, 2026) was a Canadian politician.
