Alvin Libin, a Canadian businessman, sports executive and philanthropist, died on June 15, 2026, at the age of 95.

Based in Calgary, he was president and chief executive officer of Balmon Investments Ltd., a private management services and investment company with interests in hotels, nursing homes, oil and gas, real estate and financial services. Libin was also a co-owner of the Calgary Flames, a stake he held from 1994.

He was born on April 22, 1931, and was named an Officer of the Order of Canada.
