
Try Sutrisno, an Indonesian politician and army general who served as the sixth vice president of Indonesia, died on March 2, 2026, at the age of 90.
Born in Surabaya, Dutch East Indies, on November 15, 1935, he graduated from the Army Technical Academy in 1959. During his career, Sutrisno served as Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army from 1986 to 1988 and as Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Indonesia from 1988 to 1993.
He held the vice presidency from 1993 to 1998.
