Mohammad Raad, a Lebanese politician, died on March 2, 2026.
Born in Beirut on August 22, 1955, he was a member of parliament representing the Nabatieh District and led Hezbollah’s political wing, the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, in the Lebanese parliament. Raad was one of Hezbollah’s leading figures, a member of its executive committee, and a former chair of its political council.
He was sanctioned by the United States in 2019 under an order targeting terrorists and those providing support to terrorism.
