Born on October 31, 1950, Hashmi began his career in Yawar Hayat’s PTV drama Kuhar and made his film debut in Chhad Buray Di Yaari in 1975. He gained prominence for playing Mauladad in Amjad Islam Amjad’s television drama Waris and also appeared in the 1979 film Khaak Aur Khoon.
His later credits included Wadda Khan and Do Ziddi, both released in 1983. He received the Pride of Performance Award in 1994.
Shujaat Hashmi (Punjabi, Urdu: شجاعت ہاشمی; born 31 October 1950 – died March 2026) was a Pakistani television and film actor. He is known for his roles in the television drama Waris and the film Khaak Aur Khoon, both appearing in 1979. He was honoured with the Pride of Performance Award in 1994.
