Serge Lajeunesse, a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played for the Detroit Red Wings and Philadelphia Flyers, died on February 22, 2026, at age 75.
Born in Montreal, Quebec, Lajeunesse played 103 games in the National Hockey League between 1970 and 1974. He began in hockey with the Montreal Junior Canadiens of the Ontario Hockey Association, helping them win the Memorial Cup.
He later started in the Red Wings’ farm system with the Fort Worth Wings before being called up to Detroit in November 1970.
