Ronald Michael Delany was an Irish athlete who specialised in middle-distance running and was born in Arklow, County Wicklow, on March 6, 1935. He later won a bronze medal in the 1500 metres at the 1958 European Athletics Championships in Stockholm and also competed at the 1954 European Athletics Championships in Bern and the 1960 Summer Olympics.
He retired from competitive athletics in 1962.
