Pierre Tordo, the French footballer and manager who played as a goalkeeper, died on September 2, 2026, aged 86.
Born in Nice on December 16, 1939, he came through the youth ranks at Cavigal Nice and ASPTT Nice before joining Sedan, where he spent most of his career and became the starting goalkeeper in 1964. Tordo was part of the Sedan side that reached the Coupe de France final in 1965, and he later moved into coaching, managing SO Châtellerault from 1975 to 1980 after a season in charge of Sedan.
He subsequently returned to Sedan and later worked in Belgium with FC Arlon.
