
Nigel Cayzer, a British businessman, died on March 21, 2026, aged 71.
He was chairman of Aberdeen Asian Smaller Companies Investment Trust and Oryx International Growth Fund, both London-listed funds. Cayzer also served as chairman of the cancer care charity Maggie’s from 2005 to 2014.
Born on 30 April 1954, he was educated at Eton College. He began his career working in the stock exchange for L Messel & Co., became a non-executive director of Caledonia Investments in 1986, and was appointed chairman of Allied Insurance Brokers in 1989.
