Nathalie Baye, the French actress known for Every Man for Himself, Strange Affair and Le Petit Lieutenant, died on April 17, 2026, at age 77.

She died in Paris, France. Baye began her career in 1970 and appeared in more than 80 films.

A ten-time César Award nominee, she won four times for Every Man for Himself, Strange Affair, La Balance and The Young Lieutenant. Born in Mainneville, France, on July 6, 1948, she worked in film, television and stage acting until 2026.
