
Leiby Kletzky, an American convicted killer, died on July 12, 2011.
Kletzky was the 8-year-old Hasidic Jewish boy whose kidnapping on July 11, 2011, in Borough Park, Brooklyn, prompted an extensive search by New York City police and thousands of Orthodox Jewish volunteers. His disappearance led to a block-by-block effort coordinated by the Brooklyn South Shomrim volunteer civilian patrol.
His dismembered body was later found in Brooklyn, with police ultimately arresting Levi Aron in connection with the case.
