Mosharraf Hossain, a Bangladeshi politician and former member of parliament, died on May 13, 2026, at age 83.

He served as minister of civil aviation and tourism from 1997 to 2001 and as minister of housing and public works from 1999 to 2001 and again from 2014 to 2019. Born on January 12, 1943, in Chittagong, Bengal Province, British India, he was also an engineer and was elected to parliament in 1973, 1986, 2008, 2014 and 2018.

He began his political career as a member of the East Pakistan Provincial Council in 1970 and took part in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.
