Mal Anderson, the Australian tennis player, died on May 11, 2026, at the age of 91.

Born Malcolm James Anderson in Theodore, Queensland, on March 3, 1935, he was active from the mid-1950s to the early 1970s. Anderson won the singles title at the 1957 U.S.

National Championships and reached a highest amateur ranking of No. 2 that same year. He turned professional after the 1958 season and won the Wembley World Professional Tennis Championships in 1959. A right-hander, he began playing tennis at age eight and became serious about the sport at 16.
