Lyuben Dilov Jr., the Bulgarian writer, journalist and lawmaker, died on June 2, 2026, from complications of a heart attack.
He was 61. Born in Sofia on November 19, 1964, he studied journalism at Sofia University and later worked as an editor for a number of publications.
Dilov also became known in the 1990s as an influential figure behind popular talk shows including Slavi’s Show, Canaletto, Hashove and KU-KU. In politics, he founded the George’s Day Movement and served as a member of parliament from 2005 to 2009 and again from 2021. He was the son of the writer Lyuben Dilov.
